Residents living on Jalan H Murtadho 16, RT 13 and 16 RW 06 Paseban, Senen, Central Jakarta, are supporting sub-district officer’s plan to demolish three buildings standing on water channel.

Vice Chairman of Urban Village Leaders Forum (LMK), Zarkasih stated the buildings are complained by locals because its existence is one of flood factor.

“ The cause is the debris material of house foundation that collapsed and closed the box culvert ,” he said, Tuesday (9/1).

Zarkasi added, residents have repeatedly reported it to several parties, such as urban village, sub-district until mayor) but there is still no respond. “Until now, there is no realization about demolishment,” he uttered.

Harsono, (60), admitted that he had an argument with the building owners. "But he challenged to fight,” he expressed.
