A Green House will Be Built in Marunda Flat

To increase food needs especially vegetables, a green house will be constructed in Block B of Marunda Flat, North Jakarta.

The planting plan aims to increase food needs especially vegetables for the flat's occupants

Head of North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-Department, Una Rusmana stated, the construction plan of green house for verticulture (vertical and culture) plants, in the flat will be conducted this month.

She told, more than 1,000 plants will be planted in the 8x6 square-meter land. As for the management, his party will empower the flat's occupants who will be trained first how to manage the plants.

Vegetables Farmers in Rorotan Having Lack of Water

"The planting plan aims to increase food needs especially vegetables for the flat's occupants," she told, Tuesday (9/1).

As the priority, she explained, the plant that will be multiplied is chili. It is because chili is one of spices that always needed by citizens.

Aman Bogor, RW 07 Head, Marunda Urban Village welcomed positively the planting plan.

'Currently, for the flat's occupants, market is quite far. Therefore, the plants are so useful for them," he expressed.
