Quality of KHL Calculation Component in Jakarta Fixed

Jakarta Provincial Government conducts a survey related to the basic cost living (KHL) in the capital. The survey result will be used to determine next year's Province Minimum Wage (UMP).

We already have good system to determine next year's UMP

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), said that 2016 UMP will be based on Dept. of Manpower and Transmigration KHL survey result.

"Several steps after we got the survey result will be applied before we determine the UMP," said Basuki at City Hall, Wednesday (9/2).

Noodle and Coffee Disturb KHL Determination

According to him, his side has improved the component of KHL calculation such as replacing wheat with instant noodle and mineral water with better quality.

"We already have good system to determine next year's UMP," he added.

Later on, Central Statistic Agency (BPS) will calculate the KHL survey result. The number of KHL is remain the same with last year, 60 items.
