Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama is going to audit the construction of SMPN 49 that was burned on Thursday (9/4). This former Regent of East Belitung suspected, the fire is due to construction and electrical installation that does not comply with standardization.

"I don’t know, the case is under investigation. Temporary allegation, the fire is triggered by electrical short-circuit where the wire is not Indonesian National Standard (SNI),” he exclaimed, at City Hall, Friday (9/4).

He also suspected that it is also caused by human error. "Or this is due to human error in computer room. They carelessly connect a cable and then left. You know what, it can cause fire," he expressed. 

Hence, Basuki instructed the police to uncover the case that caused loss up to Rp 300 million. 

As for the information, fire hit the second floor of SMPN 49 at Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramatjati, East Jakarta, at around 3.30 AM. Allegedly, it was triggered by electrical short-circuit.
