City to Prepare Budget for Saving Ailing Factory

City Administration is preparing
budget for helping ailing factory. The effort aims to supress unemployee number
due to termination of
employment (PHK).

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama acknowledged the budget is used to purchase the products of factory then sold through small and medium
enterprise (UKM).
“So many bankrupt factories there, we’ll help them,” he said in
executive meeting at City Hall, Monday (9/7).
Ahok added the products will be submitted to Government Procurement Regulatory Body (LKPP).
“We’ll sell the products through UKM with discount
price, thus the continuity economy of underprivileged reisdents can keep going
on,” he asserted.
In conjuction with the matter, he requested
related Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to collect the data of ailing factory in
Jakarta. He also ready to help factory in Bekasi, Tangerang up to Karawang.
