West Jakarta Water Management Sub- Department did normalization in the water channel alongside Jalan Mangga Besar VII and IX, Tangki Urban Village, Taman Sari, West Jakarta.

Hopefully, normalization could minimize flooding in future

The place was previously used as an illegal residential which often caused flooding for dozen years. No wonder, the officers managed to demolish 85 buildings standing on water channel a few moment ago.

“We immediately to clean and dredge the channel,” said M. Ali, Head of West Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Monday (9/14).

Head of Tangki Urban Village, Suhardin uttered that flooding often hit the area with water level up to 1 meter.

“ Hopefully, normalization could minimize flooding in future ,” he hoped.

Suhardin added that his side intends to re-arrange the place after normalization work. “We also plan to coordinate with Bina Marga to repair the damage roads,” he disclosed.
