A Pesanggrahan River will be normalized in order to minimize puddle and flood in Cipulir, South Jakarta. The normalization is done by dredging the river sediment.
If the sediment is dredged, the water will be accommodated well
“Thus far, we had normalized rivers in Lebak Bulus, Pondok Pinang, Bintaro, parts of Kebayoran Lama. For the next step, another normalization will be done in Pesanggrahan River through sediment dredging, especially in Ulujami and Cipulir,” explained South Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Noor, Saturday (4/11).

According to him, this way was taken while waiting for the process of land acquisition in Pesanggrahan Riverbank. Because until now, there are still obstacles in some points. "About 29 thousand square meters, especially in South Jakarta, were acquired. Then the rest are not yet acquired due to document problem," he uttered.
Nevertheless, he expressed, the land acquisition is planned to be completed this year. "We already have the gubernatorial decree to solve this," he uttered.
