90 Hydrants in West Jakarta Broken

As much as 90 out of 154 hydrants in West Jakarta are broken.

Mostly the hydrant's clutch are stolen

"Mostly the hydrant's clutch are stolen," said Pardjoko, West Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Fire and Rescue, Monday (9/14).

Besides the clutch, other hydrants are also broken due to hit by solid material.

City to Build Independent Water Hydrant

"We're repairing them now," he added.

According to him, the personnel can not rely on the hydrants since the water debit is not adequate.

"PT Palyja manages the water debit, we only manage the hydrant only," he continued.

Responding this matter, he appealed his personnel to look for another water source.

"The sector head must know where the water source is, like river, lake, or reservoir. If we insist taking from hydrant, water supply in residential could stop flowing," he uttered.
