Trash Piling Up on Jalan Pedongkelan Complained

Residents living at Jalan Pedongkelan Dalam, RT 22/16, Kapuk Urban Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, are complaining about trash piles in their residence. Considering, it spreads rotten smell.

So the matter has been so long. But the trash keeps being transported everyday

"So, trash transportation should be conducted more often. If not, the trash would getting piled up," said one of the residents, Didi (28), Tuesday (9/15).

2 Tons of Trashes Transported from Jalan Sapta Taruna

Responding to the matter, Cengkareng Sub-District Head Masud Effendi stated his party has been declining the trash volume gradually.

"Thus, the location had been closed down by the urban village head. Then residents requested the location to be used as social and public facilities. So the matter has been so long. But the trash keeps being transported every day," he explained.

He added, all this time the trash matter in the location is still controlled by some dump trucks. He told, for Cengkareng area currently there are only 23 units.

"3 of them are damaged. It means the trash matter in our area is complex. I thought it wasn't only us. But it's in all areas. But we keep working hard," he disclosed.
