23 buildings on Jalan Bekasi Timur VI and Prumpung Turunan, Cipinang Besar Utara (Cibesut), Jatinegara, East Jakarta, demolished by joint personnel of 50 Satpol PP and Infrastructure and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU).

According to Budi Setiawan, Head of Jatinegara Sub-District, his side often gets complaint from local residents over buildings stood atop the water channel and sidewalk.

Luckily the demolishment went smoothly without conflict. This is because socialization towards locals had been done last month.

"After being sent a warrant demolishment yesterday, they began to demolish buildings by themselves, and 23 other buildings by us," he reported, Tuesday (9/15).

Of the 23 buildings,16 out of them were built on sidewalks along Jalan Bekasi Timur VI, RW 08, Cipinang Besar Utara. While the rest were on Jalan Cipinang Turunan, which is a border between RW 09 and RW 13 Cipinang Besar Utara.

"We’ll find the solution of this matter on Jalan Bekasi Timur VI," he finished.
