Agriculture on Narrow Lands in C. Jakarta Developed

Central Jakarta Administration keeps to develop agriculture on narrow lands that have a high economic value.

 This is indeed simple, but it is very helpful to help food security

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede said the plants developed in inner-city agriculture project has a short-growing season and can be consumed.

Central Jakarta Uses Narrow Land for Farming

"I appreciate sub-department head who continues to develop agriculture in residential area. This is indeed simple, but it is very helpful to help food security," he said, when vegetables harvest on the yard of Army Battalion Supplies and Transport (Bekang at RW 05, Bungur Urban Village, Senen, Wednesday (9/16).

Head of Central Jakarta Marine, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-Department, Muljadi stated various kinds of vegetables such as red spinach, cesim, slada, pack coy, chili, etc were planted and developed in some areas.

"This is our target, where we use hydroponic vertikultura method. Everything is organic and will continuously be developed in the future," he stated.

Battalion Commander of Bekang-03/Rat, Major CBA Ariawan uttered there are two sectors that have been prepared in the near future for plant development. His party also instructed every soldier to spend their time to support this farming activity.

"At least for their own needs, the residence can also look greenly," he finished.
