About 75 sacks of trash mixed with mud were dredged from Channel along Jalan Margasatwa, Ragunan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

Nevertheless, citizen role is also needed to participate in maintaining cleanliness

Ragunan Urban Village Head, Sih Purwanti Rahayu said the dredging is a routine activity to anticipate flood during rainy season.

Channel Along Jalan Papanggo II Dredged

"It's just routine anticipation. Because it has not been dredged for so long," she stated, Friday (9/18).

According to her, such dredging has involved 50 officers of Infrastructure and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU). "Besides channel on Jalan Margasatwa, they can also clean other places. Nevertheless, citizen role is also needed to participate in maintaining cleanliness," she explained.
