Regent Directly Leading the Search of Drowning Fireman

Seribu Islands Regent, Budi Utomo is directly leading the search of fireman who has been missing since last Wednesday (9/16).

Today, the search is started by sweeping some islands around Pramuka Island using Praja Utama VI boat. "We're participating in the search by sweeping Air Island, Karang Besar Lebar Island, and Gosong Sekati Island. But the victim is still missing," he told, Wednesday (9/23).

He uttered, within this week, the team which consists of Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department assisted by Basarnas has been sweeping to Sunda Strait and Merak, Banten. He hopes the drowning victim could be found.

"We could learn from this incident, that for those who are not capable yet to do activity in sea, do not do it without any companion," he appealed.

As reported before, one of firemen of Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department , Jendri Budiman Pasaribu (32) allegedly drowned when snorkeling in Tanjung Pengantin Beach, Pramuka Island, last Wednesday. But, he is still missing until this time. The search process has been going since a week ago.
