Fund of 34 Urban Village's KJK Misused

Tens of urban village Cooperatives of Financial Services in Jakarta, allegedly misused revolving fund given by government. The potential loss  could reach billions of rupiah.

From the record of Revolving Fund Management Unit of Urban Village's Citizens Economic Empowerment (UPDB PEMK) for Jakarta Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives (KUMKMP)Department, until July 2015, the fund owned is Rp 460.836.008.159. It was sourced from 2008-2012 City Budget (APBD), Sharing Profit Revenue (Basil) and PPMK diversion in December 2011.

Head of UPDB PEMK for Jakarta KUMKMP Department, Rosita Tambunan stated, currently the number of KJK in Jakarta is 263. And the estimation of potential loss could reach Rp 66,034 billion.

KUMKMP Department to Allocate Rp 1,051 B to 3 Cooperatives

The management unit side has been auditing 34 KJKs. Of the number, Rp 28,795 billion was indicated to be stuck.

"After we swept, we suspect there is misuse. The total is Rp 7,489 billion," she stated, Thursday (9/24).

She continued that her party has taken legal action. Even, there have been 1 caretaker, 2 KJK managers of 2 urban villages sentenced to be in prison. As for another caretaker from Tanjung Priok Urban Village, North Jakarta, ready to be filed to the court.

"We still keep sweeping the other abuser and will be jailed. For the beneficiaries, we will encourage urban village's KJK to get it back," she stated.
