City Administration is about to cooperate with Bumiputera company for providing micro insurance for Jakartans.

Jakarta Vice Governor, Dajrot Saiful Hidayat welcomed the plan. He assessed, the micro insurance is dedicated for lower-income residents.

“ Jakarta does not have life insurance that can cover low-income residents, we just give protection in terms of education and health. Surely, this insurance is a great idea to help them ,” he said, Tuesday (9/29).

To be right on the target, Djarot added, there must be a tight selection. “We can selectively pick whoever who deserve to get the insurance,” he expressed.

Meanwhile, Director of Bumiputera Investment and Finance, Ichsan M Nathin stated that through such cooperation, Jakartans could have insurance with premium by Rp 50,000 per year.

“It is covering all family members, we’ll give compensation for death up to Rp 1.5 million. Indeed, our target is middle-lower class people,” he finished.
