Johar Baru GOR's Parking Lot to Be Managed by Parking UPT

Jakarta Youth and Sport Department is about to arrange the Sport Hall (GOR)'s parking lot in Johar Baru Sub-District, Central Jakarta. Parking management will be taken over by Parking Technical Management Unit (UPT), Jakarta Transportation Department.

This parking lot is one of government assets, where it shouldn’t be commercialized

Head of Jakarta Youth and Sport Department, Firmansyah Wahid stated that his department already sent a letter to Parking Technical Management Unit last year. The attempt aims to prevent parking lot monopoly by mass organization.

“ This parking lot is one of government assets, where it shouldn’t be commercialized ,” he asserted, Wednesday (30/9).

During so far, such parking lot has been managed by Parking Technical Management Unit thus the parking retribution directly deposited into the local treasury. “It is like in Pulogadung, Rawamangun Velodrome and Ciracas Sport Halls,” he mentioned.

Firmansyah expected the Parking Technical Management Unit to immediately respond and manage parking lot. “Thus, parking lot use could be orderly,” he disclosed.
