Marunda Flat Occupants Trained to Anticipate Fire

North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (PKP) Sub-Department held fire simulation in Marunda Flat, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Wednesday (9/30).

Besides that it is also for measuring response time of firemen if fire happens in the flat or around it

Head of Operational Section for North Jakarta PKP Sub-Department, Abdul Wahid stated the simulation aimed to do cooperation between firemen and the residents in anticipating fire.

"Besides that it is also for measuring response time of firemen if fire happens in the flat or around it," said Wahid who directly led the simulation.

As many as 30 firemen, 60 members of Fire Volunteers Front (Balakar) and 6 operational vehicles were deployed in the simulation.

"Hopefully, through the operation, residents and firemen are ready to minimize fire in flat. Next, the similar simulation will also be held in Muara Baru Flat in the near future," he told.

Acin Mukhlis, (52), one of the flat occupants, welcomed the simulation positively. Because, residents were taught how to put out the fire and organize residents to be order when the incident happens.
