The flat construction in Kampung Pulo area, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, will fully be managed by the developer as compensation over improvement of building floor coefficients (KLB) on their property projects in Jakarta.

“ The flat construction itself uses private sector fund, but not from City Budget (APBD) ,” said Head of Jakarta Public Housing and Government’s Building Department, Ika Lestari Aji, Tuesday (9/29).

Aji acknowledged the flat will be designed like the low-rent flat (rusunawa). Yet, residents who receive compensation or have land certificate allowed to lease their unit to other parties.

“It's surely different with those who have no certificate. They only stay,” she stated.

He explains the residential wide is predicted to touch 5 hectares and could be develop as flat up to 5,000 units with 16 floors.

“If residents are agree, we’ll soon turn this into reality, maybe next year,” she disclosed.
