South Jakarta Mayor, Tri Kurniadi threatened to impose strict sanction against business owners who dispose their waste to the Mampang River. This is because many residents often complained the stinging stench river that flowing from Bangka Urban Village to Jalan Kapten Tendean.

Kurniadi stated that his side will apply high fines against the offender in case of negligence found.

On the other occasion, Head of Mampang Prapatan Sub-District, Asril Rizal suspected the waste origins from business site outside Mampang Prapatan area.

“Cattle breeder in Mampang Prapatan merely eat leftover tofu factory,” he disclosed.
