16 Taxi Boats Have Sailing Permit

Head of Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-Department, Marihot Marulitua Sirait sthere stated until October 1 ago, there are only 16 out of 42 taxi boats (traditional boat) have sailing permit.

As many as 16 boats already have the permit, as for 6 other boats are still being processed by Transportation Ministry

"As many as 16 boats already have the permit, as for 6 other boats are still being processed by Transportation Ministry. And the rests are using temporary letter from KSOP ( Port Master)," he stated, Saturday (10/17).

According to him, Head of Sunda Kelapa KSOP Class III, only gives the letter 14 days after it is issued, so that the boat owners process the sailing permit.

Taxi Boat Owners Asked to Check Boat Machines Routinely

He told, his part has held socialization to boat owners since 3 months ago. Simpliness was also given to process the permit.

He added, the letter is very important for boat to operate. Because without the letter, boats are not allowed to transport passengers.
