Overload, Passengers of Taxi Boat Asked to Get Off

After the ticketing system been applied for 2 weeks, the ranks of Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-Department begin to take firm action towards the overloaded taxi boat.

For convenience and safety, the passengers in overloaded taxi boat are asked to get off 

"For convenience and safety, the passengers in overloaded taxi boat are asked to get off," said Head of Seribu Islands Transportation Sub-Department, Marihot Marulitua Sirait, when he led the controlling in Kali Adem Port, Saturday (8/29). 

Endangered Passengers, KM Bintang Alam will Be Checked

Sirait told the controlling was based on the commitment of boat owners that will obey the regulation after the ticketing system applied. Despite of minimal violation, the controlling and supervision should be conducted routinely. 

"Changing the old tradition that usually overload and pay on boat is difficult indeed, but it needs patience and firmness," he explained. 

Today, there have been hundreds of passengers asked to get off from overloaded taxi boat. But they will be transported using boat which come back earlier to Kali Adem Port.
