Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede is optimistic the budget absorption in his area can reach 70 percent by the end of this year. Although until mid-October, the budget absorption is still less than 30 percent.

This is because there are many activities in Central Jakarta that still being tendered in local Goods and Services Procurement Unit (UPPBJ).
According to him, there are several factors that caused budget absorption is far from the target. One of them is budget system changes into electronic system and error happens in e-budgeting.
“For example is office chair procurement for Block B building that sudden submitted in e-budgeting,” he disclosed.
