Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama agreed with Central Government's plan to impose additional punishment against sexual abuser to be castrated. The punishment is deemed perfect to be applied in Jakarta as concerning pedophiles action are rampant in the capital.

Ahok acknowledged City Administration is currently adding more Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) to minimize violence against children. About 60 public spaces are slated to be built this year. Hence, residents can interact and build a good communication there.

Previously, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has agreed about a discourse to impose the additional punishment against sexual abuser. But it still waits for law revision.
