2016, RO Machine in Seribu Islands Replaced with SWO

Due to the machine is often damaged, the Reverse Osmosis (RO) machine that spread in some islands, Seribu Islands will immediately be replaced with Sea Water Osmosis (SWO). 

We're just waiting for further action from Jakarta Industry and Energy Department regarding electricity capacity

 

Head of Jakarta Water Management, Tri Djoko Sri Margianto stated large power is required to replace the RO machine with SWO. It is hoped Jakarta Industry and Energy Department could provide its supporting facility and infrastructure.

2 Damaged ROs in Panggang Island Not Yet Responded

 

"We're just waiting for further action from Jakarta Industry and Energy Department regarding electricity capacity," he expressed, Saturday (10/24).

 

According to him, like in Karya Island, the SWO machine has been in exist long time ago through CSR program, yet it hasn’t been operated due to low electricity capacity.

 

"Such machine can produce 150 tons of water per day," he told.

 

As known, lots of RO machines in several islands are damaged due to lack of maintenance. It has bad impact on raw water quality that has begun salty as seawater. With SWO machine, is able to process seawater into fresh water to meet residents needs.
