Rescue Sub-Department suceed to prevent massive fire on Jalan Sutan Syahrir,
Gondangdia, Menteng. The main cause was
due to burnt trash by local residents.

about 11 AM. “said Muchtar Zakaria, Head of Operational Section for Central
Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department, Monday (10/26).
There were 9 fire trucks deployed to the
scene.
“We direct to deploy those fire trucks to
extinguish it and spray other houses to avoid bigger fire,” he stated.
Zakaria appealed residents to be more careful to
burn something during drain season. “If it licked dry tree, fire can easily
burn a building” he disclosed.
