Fire hit 6 storehouses in Kapuk Muara Kencana Residence, Kapuk Muara Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Wednesday (10/21) dawn. 7 residents were injured and the loss estimated to more than Rp 800 million.

Head of North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department, Satriadi stated that the fire was allegedly caused by electrical short circuit.

"We got fire report at 2 AM, and arrived at the scene 15 minutes later. We sent 15 fire trucks," he explained.
According to him, the fire gutted 4 storehouses. As for 2 others were only burnt on the front side. "The fire could be managed an hour later," he stated.
In the incident, he continued, there were 7 residents suffer light burn. "It was because they wanted to help putting out the fire and rescuing the property. Some of them are admitted in Teluk Gong and the others in Cengkareng," he disclosed.
The fire cause is still unknown. "It's still being investigated. But it's allegedly caused by short circuit," he explained.
