46 Locations of Safe House for Children Formed in Central Jakarta

Around 40 locations that spread in Central Jakarta are used as a safe house for children. Children protection from violence action becomes a main priority program.

It is for providing children safety. Later on, the house would be plastered with sticker reads safe place for children

 

“There have been 46 locations used as safe house for children. They are spread in 8 sub-districts,” said Chief of Central Jakarta Resort Police, Sr. Comr. Pol. Hendro Pandowo, Tuesday (10/27).

Prevent Violence Case, Headmen Instructed to Supervise Schools

 

According to Pandowo, in such locations, children can get protection and counseling when they feel threatened and violence.

Those safe houses are located in Tanah Abang Sub-District with 8 agents, Gambir with 8 agents, Menteng with 5 agents, Kemayoran with 8 agents, Senen with 7 agents, Sawah Besar with 5 agents, Cempaka Putih with 3 agents and Johar Baru with 2 agents.

 

“We appeal them who feel threatened or experience violence can report it to such locations. And then will be socialized furthered with locals," he finished.
