Fire Hit 5 Rented Houses in Tambora

As many as 20 fire trucks from West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department successfully extinguished the flames that burned 5 rented houses in RT 07/01, Krendang Urban Village, Tambora.

Head of Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department, Pardjoko told that allegedly the fire was caused by electrical short circuit from one of the rented houses.

"20 fire trucks are deployed to manage the fire so that it will not expand to other houses," he stated, Tuesday (10/27).

Chief of Tambora Police Sector, Sr. Comr. Wirdhanto Hadicaksono stated that to investigate the case his side has summoned some witnesses.

"The fire cause cannot be concluded yet as it's still waiting for forensic team. So far some witnesses have been investigated," he explained.

Krendang Urban Village Head, Andre Ravnic explained that the fire broke out at around 11 AM, it was caused by electrical short circuit from water dispenser of one of the house owners named Tan Su Jie (55).

"No casualty in the incident, the residents swiftly put out the fire," he finished.
