Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah acknowledged trial revitalization will be conducted to Mikrolet minivan 01 to M 12 with route Kampung Melayu-Senen and Senen-Gunung Sahari.

“The MoU is revitalization two small public transports into one medium public transport. We also want to try other public transports, like M 08 and M 53 with route Tanah Abang-Kota,” he said, at City Hall, Tuesday (10/27).
Yansyah expressed that the main reason of public transport revitalization against Mikrolet M 01 and M 12 is due to such route is deemed the most chaotic route from traffic flow aspect.
“Second is such routes are on main roads. And Jakarta, its lane cannot be used by small public transport,” he told.
However, small public transport passing on main road are cannot be eliminated. Those public minivans remain to be operated on neighborhood road.
“That’s what, we should re-arrange its route,” he enlightened.
Furthermore, he admitted have no idea about the number of M 01 and M 12 small public minivans that will be transformed into medium size.
“We have no idea about the number. If there are 300 unit of small public transports, it means it remaining 150 units after revitalized into medium size one,” he explained.
The target of revitalization project against public transport is scheduled to be started in early 2016. Concerning there are many aspects that have to be considered first.
"Its consideration is a lot, starting from route and process through Government Procurement of Goods and Services Agency (LKPP),” he finished.
