There are various ways to commemorate Hari Sumpah Pemuda (Youth Pledge) that falls on October 28. As it was done by hundreds of students of SMPN 246 Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta, who wore traditional when they attended the ceremony of Hari Sumpah Pemuda.

Principle of SMPN 246 Lubang Buaya, Mohammad Samin said that wearing traditional clothes during the ceremony aims to raise nationalism in students circle.

"At the age of colonialism ago, Bung Tomo fought against colonizer using pointed bamboo. Youth nowadays fight using idea for developing the nation to be more developed and modern," he expressed, Wednesday (10/28).

The traditional clothes worn are Betawian, Minangkabau, Central Java, East Java, West Java, Nias, Makasar, Dayak, etc.
