Determination of 2016 UMP Postponed

The determination of Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in Jakarta that scheduled will be decreed today, forced to be postponed. A number of Jakarta Wage Board members ask for time to learn Government Regulation No.78/2015 on the wage that just been published.
The meeting which was started at 11 AM had been postponed for 15 minutes. Then continued until 1 PM. Since could not find the meeting point, the meeting is postponed until tomorrow
"We just accepted PP this morning at 9.15. That's why we multiplied the copy so that members can understand well the content of the regulation," said Head of Jakarta Employment and Transmigration Department, Priyono, Wednesday (10/28).
2016 UMP Being Discussed by Jakarta Wage Board Today
According to him, learning the content on the regulation is important thus it is not wrong in taking decision of UMP value next year. Moreover most of the board members, both from labors or entrepreneurs still have not known about the regulation content that just been signed by President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo.
"The learning is also purposed to consider the suitable formula in determining UMP in the city," he uttered.
He disclosed that in the meeting, has not been decided whether the calculation of UMP will use old mechanism or refers to the new PP that inside of it eliminating standard cost of living (KHL) element.
