Mid-December, East Jakarta to Have 100 Absorption Wells

About 100 absorption wells will be developed in some areas that spread in East Jakarta in order to solve inundation problem during rainy season.

We will spend Rp 900 million to develop well this year

Head of East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Ahmad Yazid Bustomi uttered that as many as 15 wells in Pondok Kopi have been developed. And 37 other wells are under development.

Absorption Well Development Needs Education

"There are some wells that have been developed in one area, namely Pondok Kopi with 15 wells. We also intend to add 15 wells there. Afterwards, the same project would be done in Cipayung with 8 wells, Pasar Rebo with 8 wells, and Ciracas with 6 wells," he expressed, Monday (11/2).

He also has coordinated with local urban village heads to show up locations used for well development. Aside that, there have been urban village heads proposed for its development.

"The well depth is varied, between 4-6 meters. We will spend Rp 900 million to develop well this year," he told.

It is targeted 100 wells in East Jakarta can be complete in mid-December.
