Ahok: LKPP Should Think in Business Way, Not Technical!“East Jakarta is a wide area, thus absorption wells existence needs to be put into attention intensively,” she stated.
Technically, Kurnia continued, the general standard of absorption well construction is 3.20 square meters deep, 2 square meters long, and 1.2 meters wide. And inside the well, concrete tank is built to collect water.
“The water inside the well could also be used to water the plants,” she added.
Based on beritajakarta.com observations in one of absorption well construction locations, some workers were seen dredging the soil and installing the tank.
“There are 40 points that we worked on. We’re currently installing the tanks to storage water,” told Widiarto, one of the workers.
For information, as many as 3,620 absorption wells will be built this year by Jakarta Industry and Energy Department in five municipalities and a region in Jakarta. This is conducted as an effort to resolve flood problem which becomes one of Jakarta Provincial Government’s priorities.
