Facility & Infrastructure Access For Disabled People Re-built

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to rebuild the facility and infrastructure access for disabled people in the capital.

They can not pass the sidewalk due to many other facilities such as trees and electricity poles

The facilities are planned to be built this year at sidewalk, crossing bridge, and Transjakarta bus shelter.

Yusmada Faizal, Jakarta Head Dept. of Bina Marga, admitted that the facilities at sidewalk are often covered with electricity pole, trees, and etc.

"They can not pass the sidewalk due to many other facilities such as trees and electricity poles," he said, Wednesday (11/4).

Based on that reason, his side will ebuild the facility at several sidewalks such as Jalan Diponegoro and Jalan Kyai Caringin, Central Jakarta.

"The plan is started this year, but we still calculate whether it can be done this year or not," he added.

Facilities to be built are special sign and chairwheel lane, and direction text for deaf people.
