Basuki Established Cooperation with Jeju Province

Governor of Jeju Province, South Korea, Won Hee Ryong, visited Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama at City Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/4). During the visit, both governors discussed cooperation in tourism sector, particularly in Seribu Islands. In addition, Ahok intends to imitate the development of marine aquaculture in Jeju Province.

"We want to imitate tourism system from Jeju Province in Seribu Islands," disclosed Ahok, at City Hall, Wednesday (11/4).

He also wanted to imitate development of marine aquaculture. Because, the current aquaculture in Seribu Islands is still unoptimal. With this cooperation, is hoped to attract more tourists. "They're good for marine aquaculture. It will also be applied in Seribu Islands," he stated.

Governor of Jeju Province, Won Hee Ryoung said his party has shared the experience how to develop marine tourism. The experience can also be imposed in Seribu Islands.

"We've talked about cooperation in sectors of ecotourism, tourism improvement, fishery and environment. We hope this cooperation could be conducted well in future," he told.

To develop it in Jakarta, his party will invite the tourism experts from Jeju to come to Jakarta. Thus, they can share experiences more deeply about tourism development.

"In Jeju Island, there is Olle-gil (Jalan Olle). It is a program or ecotourism zone in Korea. So, we were actually talking about how his chances, working together to build an eco-tourism in Seribu Islands," he closed.
