BPJS to Cover Medical Treatment of Malnourished Child

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama, ensured that the Social Security Agency (BPJS) will cover the medical cost of the malnourished child in Cilincing, North Jakarta. At this time, he has been brought to Koja General Hospital (RSUD) for an intensive treatment. 

Citizens who have or not have ID-Card will get service from us. Because we have cover BPJS by Rp 4.7 million per person

“Citizens who have or not have ID-Card will get service from us. I will input you in the displaced person data. Because we have cover BPJS by Rp 4.7 million per person,” he stressed, at City Hall, Monday (11/9).

Free Medical Treatment Held in Kartini Urban Village

Ahok assessed the patient's family cannot pay the treatment cost anymore. "That's why, we will take over its treatment in Koja RSUD,” he stressed.

He then asked sub-district and urban village heads to pay more attention and care of its citizens. “If you are not willing to treat the malnutrition sufferer, we will treat them,” he insisted.

He hopes similar case could be handeld in future. Thus the headmen must be proactive monitoring citizens in respective region. “You can sign a statement letter if you neglect to be taken care by government,” uttered Ahok.

As known, Reki Gading Mahesa (9), a citizen of Jalan Cilincing Lama I, Gang Kelapa Nunggal II, Cilincing Urban Village, North Jakarta, suffering from malnutrition since he was born. He stays with his grandmother, Taminah (53).
