Controlling Towards Agate Shanties in Jatinegara Re-continued

We sent 110 joint officers of Satpol PP from combination of city until urban village level to demolish agate shanties

The controlling towards 70 agate shanties located alongside Jalan Bekasi Barat I, Rawa Bunga Urban Village, Jatinegara, precisely beside Jakarta Gems Center (JGC), continued. More than 110 joint officers are involved, comprising Satpol PP and Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers.

" We sent 110 joint officers of Satpol PP from combination of city until urban village level to demolish agate shanties . We also get assistance from PPSU officers, to transport and clean the debris," said Head of Rawa Bening Urban Village, Agustina, Monday (11/9).

Violate Public Order, Agate Stall Demolished

Previously, last Sunday (11/8), there had been 61 shanties controlled by the owners. Then the rest of buildings will be handled by officers.

Jatinegara Sub-District Head, Budi Setiawan stated that those kiosks were known standing on connecting channel as wide as 2 meters and 800 meters long. His side then coordinated with East Jakarta Cleanliness and Water Management Sub-Departments to send heavy equipment for normalizing the channel.

"It's been proposed and coordinated with Cleanliness, Water Management and Bina Marga Sub-Departments to normalize the channel and revitalize the road. The channel is quite deep, which is one and half meter," he disclosed.

After being controlled, the building debris then transported to Bantar Gebang Landfill using 5 trucks.
