Djarot: BKSP Jabodetabekpunjur Is Unoptimal

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, assessed that the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Puncak, and Cianjur (Jabodetabekpunjur) Government Cooperation Board (BKSP) is not effective due to no authority to take decision.

The ineffective BKSP, Djarot added, has resulted inappropriate development in Bogor and Puncak.
He continued that the location that must be used as green open space has turned into villa and road. This caused rain water can not be absorbed maximally and wasted to Ciliwung river.

According to him, flood in Jakarta can not be solved without central government assist. It is because Jakarta Provincial Government can not intervence Bogor Regency or Bogor City which are under West Java Province.
