In order to anticipate flood in rainy season, the water channel along Jalan Ampera Raya, Ragunan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta is being drained, Thursday (11/12).
There have been 600 sacks of mud dredged
Ragunan Urban Village Head, Sih Purwanti Rahayu said the draining is conducted because the channel has been malfunctioned due to full of sediment that inundates the area when rain pours.

"There have been 600 sacks of mud dredged," she said.
She told, to dredge the mud and clean the gutter, her side deployed 3 groups or 30 Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers. They cleaned the channel along 200 meters. "It has been going since 4 days ago and targeted to be done tomorrow," she explained.
Her side, she added, appealed citizens not to throw trash in the gutter, thus it will not be clogged.
