18 Micro and Connecting Channels in Penjaringan Drained

To minimize the puddle and flood, as many as 18 micro and connecting channels (PHB) in Penjaringan Sub-District are drained.

The citizens requested the draining as the channels are often overflowed and flooded the location

Those drained channels such as micro channel in Jalan Gambang I, Jalan Gambang II, Jalan Gambang Raya Kelurahan Pejagalan, Jalan Paus, Jalan A Raya and Jalan Asem. And Terusan Teluk Gong, Penjagalan, Pluit, Angke Raya connecting channel. 

Head of Public Work Section For Penjaringan Sub-District Waterworks, Amir Pangaribuan said, the process is the citizens' request due to the location is often flooded. It has been done since February ago.

Connecting Channel on Jalan Swadharma will Be Normalized

"The citizens requested the draining as the channels are often overflowed and flooded the location. After the 18 channels are done, then we will do the rest," he asserted.

Pangaribuan stated, of 18 drained channels, 2 micro channels still have not been drained that are in Jalan Paus and Jalan A Raya. He claimed that there is tardiness on the process due to many channels are closed by conblock.

"We will make it faster and hopefully it would be done in a week," he disclosed.
