Floodwater From Bogor Inundates 24 RWs in Jakarta

Tens of RWs that spread in Jakarta are flooded due to floodwater from other areas, Bogor, West Jakarta since Monday (11/16) dawn. Those impacted by overflowing rivers are South and East Jakarta.

Now it starts to recede, hopefully on headwater rain will not happen so water will not rise up again

The data quoted from Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported that the water level is up to 20-100 cm.

Like in South Jakarta, flood hit some residential in RW 01, 03, 06, and RW 07, Rawa Jati, Pancoran, with water level between 50-100 centimeters. In Tebet Sub-District, flood happens in RW 10 Kebon Baru; RW 10, 11 and RW 12 Bukit Duri, with water level between 20-100 centimeters. Then part of area in RW 06 and RW 08 Pejaten Timur, Pasar Minggu is inundated up to 50 cm.

While in East Jakarta, similar condition is also spotted in Kramat Jati Sub-District, precisely at RW 06 and 07 Cililitan Urban Village, and RW 03 Cawang Urban Village, water level is 50-100 cm. In Pasar Rebo Sub-District, Gedong Urban Village, water level reaches 50-80 cm in RW 03 and 11.

Next, the RW 07 and 11, Bidara Cina Urban Village, Jatinegara, are inundated with water level 20-80 cm. In Kampung Melayu Urban Village, flood happens in RW 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 07, and RW 08. The water level is varied that is 30-100 cm.

"Now it starts to recede, hopefully on headwater rain will not happen so water will not rise up again. At 9.30 AM, the higher water level in Kampung Pulo was 80 cm," he reported.
