Pluit Dam is re-dredged since it has been full of mud and water hyacinth or locally known as eceng gondok. The dredging used 10 heavy equipments typed amphibious excavator swamp backhoe.

"The mud is already quite high thus it makes the dam shallowing," said Head of North Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Kasna, Wednesday (11/18).

He hoped, after the dredging is done, the dam could reserve more water thus it could speed up water receding on flood points.
