Sebira Island Needs High-Speed Ship

Seribu Islands Regent, Budi Utomo hopes Jakarta Transportation Department to provide high-speed ship as transportation for residents of  Sebira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu Island.

Transportation also become a problem. It should be a concern and need to find solution

He expressed all this time the residents still rely on fishermen ship to go shopping to land and other activities.

"Transportation also become a problem. It should be a concern and need to find solution," he expressed, Friday (11/20).

Sebira Island Residents Enjoyed One Day Service

He added that his side hopes Trans Ship of Seribu Island initiated by Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, could be realized and reaching whole areas of Seribu Island.

"Hopefully the ship could reach Sebira Island, if not so, the department should find solution, for instance high-speed as the resident requested," he disclosed.

To meet transportation needs and boost development of tourism sector, as planned in 2016, the trans ship will operate around each island and be paid by Jakarta Provincial Government rupiah per mile.
