About 20 officers of Cengkareng Barat Urban Village Handling Infrastructure and Public Facilities (PPSU), West Jakarta, tore down an inrit (manhole cover) along water channel RW 08, Jalan Raya Kamal.

"We had asked Water Management Sub-Dept to tear down the inrit but it was ignored. That's why we had to send our officer to the field. Considering, its condition was damaged," exclaimed Head of Cengkareng Barat Urban Village, Mochammad Hatta, Tuesday (11/24).

According to Hatta, similar action is also carried out in 15 RWs. In addition, several communal work programs along with locals would also be held every Saturday-Sunday.

"Yet, we still need more equipment, such as sledgehammer tool, crowbar and hoe, whereas most inrit was made from concrete," he complained.

Temporarily, he continued, from thousands of sacks prepared, 320 sacks containing trash and mud managed to be transported. "Its amount is approximately 15 tons of wet trash," he uttered.
