2016, Free Burial in West Jakarta Imposed

Various facilities continue to be provided by City Administration to underprivileged residents. One of them is free burial costs.

Temporarily, we still collect subsidy cost as much as Rp 885 thousand. But, in future, the government will cover the burial process

Head of West Jakarta Park and Cemeteries Sub-Dept, Christian HT side the free burial costs is in accordance with General Policy of 2016 City Budget (APBD)'s priorities and preliminary thresholds (KUA-PPAS). It will be imposed in 2016.

“Temporarily, we still collect subsidy cost as much as Rp 885 thousand. But, in future, the government will cover the burial process,” he stressed, Tuesday (11/24).

The program is in accordance with Bylaw No.3/2007 on Cemetery and Bylaw No.1/2006 on Local Retribution.

Separately, Tegal Alur Public Cemetery (TPU) Caretaker, Ede stated from three blocks of burial land, namely AA1, A2 and A3, the burial costs by Rp 0 is still applicable and placed in A3 block.

“It is not including ambulance and pengkafanan (cover the entire body corpse with Kafan cloth). Rp 0 means burial process, like seat and tent. But the person concerned must propose a form letter from RT/RW, death letter from urban village, post mortem data from doctor, SKTM, ID Card photo copy, and marriage certificate,” he explained.
