Today, Route of Two Mikrolet in West Jakarta DIverted

A route diversion test addressed to two Mikrolet minivans 08 (Kota-Tanah Abang) and 12 (Kota-Senen) will be applied today, Wednesday (11/24).

"Both routes will be directed to Perniagaan Market which is used as a relocation site occupied by hundreds of Asemka street vendors," said Head of West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Tiodor Sianturi, Tuesday (11/24).

Sianturi disclosed, the Asemka street vendor arrangement is one of five orderly programs projected by Jakarta Provincial Government.

"So, we deliberately divert two routes of public minivan thus Perniagaan Market area can be crowded and easily be reached by people. As a result, this way managed to evict street vendors on the roadside," he expressed.

Such trial will be done today, Wednesday (11/25) morning, and will officially be attended by Deputy Head of Jakarta Transportation Department and related unit.

"Route that will be passed is from Jalan Pancoran-Jalan Toko Tiga and until Jalan Belandongan. Then, the minivan will be directed to Jalan Tambora VIII-Jalan Perniagaan Raya-Kali besar Barat and ended to Kota Terminal,” he finished.
