To reach more students, School Bus Technical Management Unit (UPT) for Jakarta Transportation Department will add new additional routes for school bus.

Head of School Bus UPT, Mohammad Insaf stated that currently the route number owned is 15 routes and 9 zones. His side will add 9 new routes and 5 new zones.

Those eight new routes are Cawang-Kalimalang, Blok M-Pondok Labu, Cengkareng-Kembangaan, Kyai Tapa-Angke, Kebon Jeruk-Tanah Abang, Ciputat-Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Lama-Daan Mogot and Biak-Pasar Baru.
As for 5 new zones are Penggilingan, Kampung Melayu, Cilincing, Kebayoran Lama and Meruya. These zones use small cars that can reach neighborhood road where schools located.
The addition for now is still using the old armadas while waiting for the new ones. As planned in 2016, there will be 20-40 additional bus. "It's still being planned," he stated.
