40 Street Lights will Be Installed on Jalan Kalimalang Raya

At least 40 new street lights on the right side of Jalan Kalimalang Raya-Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta in the near future.

All this time, the road is dark and always protested by locals

Responding on this matter, Head of East Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Sub-Dept, Nurhidayat, said street light installation is to follow up on citizen complaints and requests related to the lack of lighting. In addition, there is a strategic road that is always passed by many vehicles.  Moreover, he stated, project of Becakayu Toll Road is still ongoing in such area.

"All this time, the road is dark and always protested by locals. We will fix it in accordance with Jakarta Governor and department head's mandate. Moreover, Kalimalang area is a solid lane of the vehicle, plus Becakayu Toll Road project," he said, Wednesday (11/25).

He assessed, the light has not been installed because of Becakayu Toll Road. "Previously, we had installed street light on the riverbank, but it made them malfunctioned due to toll road project there. After the project is done, we will re-install street light," he asserted.

Nurhidayat added, lamp itself has a power of 90 watts, with nine meters high. "Component and its material preparation depends on the completion and return of the crew from the barn," he finished.
