Basuki Favors Developer to Build Flats in City

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama said that he is not recommend developer to fulfill their obligation to build flat. The reason is due to Indonesian economy is currently moving slowly.

Ahok stated that developers obligated to build
86,000 flats. Nevertheless, City Administration will review more about flats
development.
“We’ve to calculate it first. The worst thing is
we have to postpone it to 1-2 years,” he said in one of hotels in Kuningan,
South Jakarta, Tuesday (12/1).
Ahok went on to say that this year is not a perfect
moment to run property business. Developers now is looking for strategy to
achieve a turnover.
“I know they owe us for 86 thousands flat units.
But they seems to have problem to get a turnover due to Indonesia weak growth
economy,” he expressed.
Ahok continued that he is still ask for their accountability
no matter what.
