KPKP Department Predicted Three Possibilities of The Dead Fishes in Ancol

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security Department (DKPKP) predicted that there are 3 possibilities of the death cause of millions fishes in Ancol area, North Jakarta, last Monday (11/30).

This nature phenomenon causes harmful substances under the sea risen up then poisoning the fishes

"The death cause certainly needs to be investigated in laboratory. But we conclude that there are 3 possibilities causing the fishes dead," said Head of Jakarta KPKP Department, Darjamuni, Tuesday (12/1).

He explained, firstly the fishes died because of extreme weather changing thus impact on temperature changing drastically on water surface with water under sea.

"This nature phenomenon causes harmful substances under the sea risen up then poisoning the fishes," he explained.

Secondly, it was possibly because of alga blooming growth that pretty much in the sea. Consequently the fishes scrambled each other with alga for oxygen. "Due to scrambling oxygen, the fishes lost and died," he added.

Thirdly, he continued, it could be water pollution in sea that made the fishes poisoned. "But if it's water pollution, why was it only in Ancol? that's why we need to investigate it first," he disclosed.
